Tip 14-16 : Keep in touch with family and friends

In this strange Coronavirus season, where we cannot meet up, online video chat has never been more useful than right now. Three (of the many) systems that permit video calling are Skype, Facetime and WhatsApp. Skype is the truly ubiquitous one - because every make of tech device can use it, so you don't have to worry what device the other person has. FaceTime is excellent, but it only works on Apple make devices. Whatsapp also is extremely popular, but you have to have a smart phone (Apple or non Apple) ro use it. Whatsapp is not on iPad, Tablet or Computer (well, strictly it isn't - howver there is a faciltiy called Web Whats app - but you still need a Smartphone, and Web Whatsapp doesn't fo video calls which is what these tips are about).

The big supermarkets all have delivery and/or click and Collect services. However during Coronavirus the delivery services have been maxed out and many are reporing its hard to book a delivery slot.

In the Taunton area, there is a community-led effort called Coronavirus Community Help Taunton - who are voluntarily helping people who are in need - with things like shopping. If you are on Facebook, then if you Click Here you will see the list of all the support groups, by district, across Taunton & Wellington, Somerset, area.
